i have a brass check valve after my tee that keeps WVO from going into the stock fuel filter (i run two filters). it is designed for water and i think it's gummed up or stuck or something. can you suggest a good check valve with a link. thanks

The check valve I bought from Mcmaster for my fuel line got clogged, I took it off system and was able to clean it out now works fine. It got clogged because I had it before any filters in system, it is now after both filters. Engine not so starved for fuel now, clogged valve really cuts down flow.

Popsonline - good price but I wonder if they'll stand up to heated WVO temps ?

Here's information about Kynar from McMaster Carr:

Max. Pressure: 150 psi @ 72° F
• Temperature Range: -80° to +225° F
• Use with chlorine, deionized water, air, water, food, and beverage
• Color: Semiclear (translucent) white
• Material Meets: FDA (food and bever-
age), USDA (meat and poultry), 3-A
(dairy), NSF-51 (food), NSF-61
(drinking water)
• Tubing: Use with PVC,
polyurethane, polyethylene,
polypropylene, nylon, PTFE,
and rubber tubing with a
durometer of 40A-90A
• Clamps: Recommended
(see pages 228-237 ) PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride), also known as Kynar, has superior chemical resistance. Excellent strength and impact and abrasion resistance. Fittings are high purity, without a plasticizer additive that can contaminate liquid flowing through the fitting. Single-barbed fittings minimize leaks by having a smoother sealing surface than multi-barbed fittings. Sterilization: Radiation, steam (autoclave), and gas (ethylene oxide). Not rated for vacuum. Pipe connections are NPT.

I have also found another source of reasonable priced check valves at mscdirect.com (industrial supply house similar to mcmaster.com ) -http://www1.mscdirect.com/CGI/N2DRVSH#NOANCHOR

Hi, these valves are Kynar, the same as Teflon just a different tradename. These valves will stand up to any type of liquid you throw at them. They are tested at 150psi and the body is good up to around 500F. The Viton valve temp is lower, around 250F. If you don't want to deal with ebay, you can purchase these at my store anytime.www.thehydrogenstore.com. I also stock Urethane tubing which you should be using, not Vinyl. Vinyl will leach into your fuel.
