I need a better (faster) way to fill my 60 gallon toolbox tank because the 1.9 GPM gear pump that powers my centrifuge is just too darn slow. The Northern Tool CWP on the other hand will do 750 GPH @ 2' of head which translates to 12 GPM. Granted I'll be talking more like 4 feet of head, but as long as I can get at least 10 GPM out of it I'll be happy since most of the time I'm pumping between 40 and 50 gallons. Four to five minutes would be a huge improvement over 20-25.

My first question is are things reliable enough to be counted on for 10 minutes of use once a week or so? I've heard horror stories, but I believe these were mostly much more rigorous applications. Next, I currently (on the output of my gear pump) have a Goldenrod water block filter with pressure gauge which I pump the finished product from the centrifuge barrel through before it goes into the truck. The idea being that in case something goes wrong, the Goldenrod will act as a "fuse" of sorts and will swell and plug if there is water in the oil post centrifuge. This has only happened once thus far due to a faulty water heater element which didn't allow the oil to reach 140 degrees F. So long as the filter is not plugged, should I have any issues pumping cold oil through it with the CWP?

Finally, I'd really like to set the pump up so that it can be used with a commercial style fuel filler nozzle. Is there a pressure switch that I can plumb inline in order to cut the pump off when the filler handle is released? I'm not really interested in completely "hands-off" operation in the sense that I could leave the nozzle in the tank and that it would shut off automatically, but rather I'd like the ability to plug the pump in, walk to the truck, insert the nozzle, fill the tank, and release the handle, shutting off the flow (and the pump) immediately. As it stands right now I insert the fill hose in the tank, secure it from coming out, plug in the pump, watch the CF barrel and unplug the pump just before the barrel is completely empty.
