Yes, it is very competitive in price. If you can get 8 bags out of it per 119" bag, your cost would be $1.36 each.
good luck Omar |

Bio Diesel WVO titrating kit. This kit contains everything you need to do a proper titration on WVO when making biodiesel. The kit includes: 1% NaOH titrating solution, phenolphthalein indicating solution, turmeric indicating solution, isopropyl alcohol (in some kits), two 3mL syringes (one for oil and one for the titrating solution), a chart that shows grams per liter and grams per gallon of lye needed for each drop of titrating solution, a detailed titrating instruction sheet, an instruction sheet on how to prepare turmeric indicating solution, and a CD that includes the Excel chart, the instruction sheets (in MS Word) and some pictures. Also on the CD is the chart for grams needed for KOH. However, the kit is designed for NaOH. This is the perfect starter kit for newbies to the Biodiesel world. Kit is 26 dollars plus shipping. Now, about shipping. Isopropyl alcohol is flammable. Special procedures and packing are required to ship flammables, i.e. more cost. If you are willing to pay the extra shipping the kit will come with the IPA. However, a bottle of HEET brand gas line anti freeze (in the RED bottle) can be purchased at every auto parts store and Wal-Marts at a cost far less than shipping the stuff would be (about $1.79). HEET in the red bottle is isopropyl alcohol. The yellow bottle is methanol. That is why most of the kits do not contain the IPA. Saves you a lot on shipping. http://cgi.ebay.com/Biodiesel-WVO-titrating-kit-Simplif...QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem |

I bought two of these for my conversion. Lifetime Warranty. About $30. One strange thing that is probably due mor to my design than the pumps: I get veg oil in my diesel but not diesel in my veggie. If the impending modifications do not resolve the issue I will post a new thread. i tried to find more specs on this. what is the pressure capacity? on the vegoil side i would like to have 10 psi plus to push the oil thru the filter. running an 85 benz with 2 elect fuel pumps. what was happening was cruising with the vegoil pump running and the diesel shut off it will still use diesel? it took several attempts, but the problem was when the vegoil filter was plugged the ip had enough vaccum to pull diesel from the tank thru the elect fuel pump. on your problem, the elect fuel pump has an internal check valve. it may be leaking just a tinsy bit. you can install an inline check vavle. mcmaster has quite a selection. i would get one with 0.5 psi crack pressure. this was one of the things i tried, but my problem was different. it was using diesel- i assumed it was going into veg tank, but it was getting burned. pat |

Vegetable Oil Conversion (SVO, WVO) 300D Mercedes
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Vegetable-Oil-Conversion...mZ120038085094QQrdZ1 I no longer have space to filter my own vegetable oil so I am listing my straight vegetable oil (SVO) conversion for sale. The kit is currently installed in a 1979 Mercedes 240D. The car is not included in the price of this auction, however if the winner is interested it is available for an additional $3200 and will come with the vegetable oil kit installed, otherwise the conversion will arrive ready to install in your vehicle. This SVO conversion will work with other diesel engines as well, however slight modifications such as additional hose may be required. The conversion kit will include a 12 gallon aluminum tank with a heat exchanger in it, approximately 10 feet of Hose In Hose (copper line for the oil feed to the engine surrounded by heater hose carrying hot coolant to the heat exchanger in the tank), a 12 plate heat exchanger, heated filter, fuel level gauge and sender, temperature gauge and sender, two greasecar electric solenoids and hose for returning coolant. I will also include steel line that is used as the oil return line, however it is currently shaped to follow the underside of a Mercedes vehicle and will need to me modified to fit other vehicles. During normal driving this conversion easily heats the oil to 160 degrees F, which is widely regarded as the optimal temperature for oil prior to injection. This conversion, as with all other 2 tank conversions, requires that the engine be started on standard diesel or boidiesel form the car’s original tank. Once the car is warmed up it can be switched to run on vegetable oil until a few minuets before shutting the vehicle off. The engine must then be switched off of oil to purge the vegetable oil from the fuel lines to prevent it from thickening when it cools. I will do my best to help the winner install the kit in their vehicle, but please be aware that I am primarily familiar with converting the Mercedes 240D and 300D. If I am unable to answer your questions there are several helpful forums on the internet that should be able to. If are interested in purchasing the car as well please send me a message and I will tell you more about it. NOTE: Please allow up to a week before shipping to allow me to remove the conversion from the car. |

I was thinking that. There is enough room on the cd for a short video.

123 300TD Wagon Conversions 1979-1984 The TD wagon conversion requires some special fabrication due to the fact there is no convenient place to mount components inside the car and because the fuel tank sits low under the vehicle. With our system the factory main tank is converted to hold the vegetable oil. You can add a second diesel tank inside the rear of the wagon any time you would like for standard dual tank operations, but we have found that most would rather drive on a single tank system and mix fuel when cold, than have that unsightly and messy fuel tank in the back of the vehicle. |

Biodiesel Filter Can Fuel WVO Bio Diesel Ethanol Oil
The Filter Can Assembly, was designed two years ago to filter fairly large quantities of finished biodiesel fuel or unprocessed waste vegetable oil. The Filter Can comes with 3 industrial grade filter socks 1,10 & 50 micron. You can special request to substitute filter socks in any of these micron that you would like including 200 micron. The Filter Can has a pressure guage mounted on the top but this is not a pressure vessel. The guage measures the internal pressure of the filter sock, letting you know when its time to clean or change the filter sock. The Filter Can is not designed to filter liquids over 120 degrees, temperatures higher than that would be dangerous http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Biodiesel-Filter-Can-Fue...mZ110041294593QQrdZ1 |

I built several units of this type of coolant heated fuel filter following Eckes plans listed on German wvo websites. I have used this model on my VW TDI and my Chevy Suburban for several years. The unit for sale has been tested on my TDI and works flawlessly - no leaks and it can maintain temps up to 180F in the summer and 145F in the winter. Your temps will vary according to your system design and ambient temperature. So yes, it is used, but then again the parts used on it save the filter and machined adapter are used vw parts. It can be used for WVO or biodiesel and included is a NEW filter and a NEW seal that fits between the oil cooler and filter head. If you need to reorient head – the seal should be replaced. To use the filter: Install in a coolant loop - 5/8" hose at the cooler. Add a ball valve at the inlet to allow heat to be reduced or shut off completely, which is great if you run out of biodiesel or WVO and have to use diesel. It is best to not heat diesel. Fuel in and out is 5/16" so standard fittings will do. Pretty simple. The included NAPA Gold Filter is made by Wix and is excellent quality - at least as good as VW, Bosch etc. http://cgi.ebay.com/WVO-Biodiesel-Heated-Fuel-Filter_W0...QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem |

Greasecar WVO Vege Oil Kit for Jetta, NB, Golf, Passat
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Greasecar-WVO-Vege-Oil-K...mZ230041465127QQrdZ1 I'm selling my used Greasecar WVO conversion kit for a 1997 VW Jetta TDI. The kit could also work on other years of VW Golf, New Bug, Passat, and of course the Jetta. I converted my deisel engine to run on waste vegetable oil (WVO) at 199,850 miles (August 2005) and since then, have driven over 20,000 miles almost exclusively on virtually free WVO. I converted to WVO becuase at the time I had a 75 mile daily commute to work. Now that I just changed jobs, my commute is only 12 miles so my need for WVO is very small. The two primary things to keep in mind when converting to WVO is get the oil clean and get it hot before switching from deisel. Unfortunately, since I need to drive the car for about 5 miles before the oil is hot enough to switch over from deisel to WVO (even when using the 50 amp Vegetherm heater). By the time I switch over to WVO, I'm almost halfway to my new office. When you consider the effort to aquire used oil from a local restaurant, deliver it, filter it, store it, then pour it into the trunk tank, I do not see the value in keeping the kit any longer. Since I have got over $1,647.00 in the total conversion - its money I could use on other projects around my house. You get everything on the attached expense sheet photo (except shipping) as well as Greasecar instructions, articles, receipts, more detailed installation photos and desciptions such as wire and hose connection info, 40+ gallons of clean oil (worth $120.00), some incidentals such as new oil filters, and WVO filter bags and cartridges. Even if you do not want the hassle (and in my opinion, it is a hassle) of recycling used WVO, you can use new vegetable oil from a store (Smart and Final Soybean oil = $13.00/5 gallons - still cheaper than deisel)! Go to www.greascar .com to see what comes with there 1997 Jetta kit. I decided to use the 10 gallon round tank (could have used the 15 gallon rectangular tank) because I still wanted to use most of my trunk and still keep my spare tire (the tank sits snugly in the tire well and protrudes into the trunk by only 4-5"). My $795.00 Greasecar kit came with a 10 gallon round aluminum tank, two types of hoses, clamps, spin-on oil filter, (2) 3-way switches, in-dash fuel gauge, and a 3-way in-dash switch. This is NO shipment auction since it is impractical to ship (3) large holding drums, (10) 5 gallon pails, (5) 5 gallon jugs, and (3) 3 gallon jugs, however, if you are willing to forfeit the drums and jugs, I will ship you the remaining stuff noted on the expense sheet. My preference is that you come to my house to disconnect the system yourself so you can mimic its reinstallation later on your own car. Learn by doing! If you are handy with tools and know a little about auto electrics, you can have the Greasecar kit up and running in less than a day. From that point on, every mile you drive on vegetable oil saves you 7.5 cents (40 mpg at $3.00/gallon of deisel)! If the kit sells for $1,000.00 it will take less than 13,333 miles to complete pay for it! After that, its virtually free fuel forever, save for start-up and purge deisel, filters and your time to recycle the oil. Keep in mind, however, if your commute is small or you do not travel much, your payback time will be much greater. Just remember to keep the oil clean (under 5 microns) and switch from deisel when the oil is hot. So why does someone convert their diesel to run on WVO? 1) Primarily to save money, 2) Flip-off OPEC and Big Oil, 3) Save the environment, 4) Be exempt from future gas embargo's and gas lines, 5) Do something few people have ever done or even comtemplated, and 5) Do it because it can be done! So why spend $795.00, wait 6 weeks for delivery, spend another $600-800.00 for tanks, hoses, pumps, filets, clamps, pails, etc. when you can have the entire system for $180.00 more (assuming the kit sells for my starting price). A used Greasecar kit does not wear out - its simply a tank with hose, valves, gauge, and a switch. Do not be worried about buying a used kit - its virtually the same as a new kit! |

oMAR,
The Mr. Funnel does not work well for WVO. having it here may lead a newbie to believe they can just use it to prefilter/dewater their wvo. Is that your Jetta for sale above?
