modified brass fittings for making a hose-in-hose (or more accurately, tube-in-hose) heat exchanger. These fittings seal well against the hoses-no need to double up hose clamps. There are no threaded fittings to leak except, unavoidably, the main compression nut. As long as this nut is not overtightened you will have a perfect seal. All parts are bubble tested to 50 psi. I will guarantee that no leaks occur at the soldered junction. They take paint well and look outstanding painted flat black.

You are buying the two fittings- enough to make 1 hose-in-hose any length you like. Picture two shows the simple construction and fluid flow. You will need to supply a length of 3/8 od tubing- aluminum works best and is available for less than $1/ft, but copper or polyethylene tubing will also work. You will also need a foot shorter length of 3/4 id heater hose, available at any auto store or tractor supply house (or less than $0.50/ft on ebay). Finally, four standard worm drive hose clamps complete the project.

This design uses 1" PEX tees and brass compression fittings. You may find these at larger hardware stores but will pay more for the fittings alone, and still have to custom lathe cut the 3/8 fittings to fit. I am able to offer this low opening price due to quantity purchases of the materials.

You can make a professional looking hose-in-hose for your WVO, SVO or beer brewing project for less than the cost to cobble one together from your hardware store. There's no reason a WVO conversion can't be functional and look good at the same time!

Custom request? Need male or female NPT on the hose return? Email me for a quote on custom fittings. I will substitute 5/16" or 1/2" tube fittings at no cost if request is made prior to auction completion.

Muzak, Autolite GPs do not have a great reliability reputation. Anyway, their model 1110 is probably better suited to your application.

This dual Magnet Mount Surface Thermometer is specifically designed to measure surface temperature. May be used on any magnetic surface. These instruments feature two high temperature alnico magnets that act as the thermometers base and hold the instrument in place on magnetic surfaces. The bimetallic sensor is located in a draft shield and is in virtual thermal contact with the surface to be measured. This gives the instrument a relatively quick response time. The thermometer reaches sensing equilibrium (stability) within three minutes

Product Description
Now available for your sealed container or drum! Dry out your Vegetable oil or your Black Diesel! Drop one of these filters in while your oil settles and then just pull out the water! This is a water removing filter designed to sit at the bottom of a 55 gallon drum or any type of container or tank with at least a 2 inch opening. It will absorb the water as it settles to the bottom of your supply of vegetable oil biodiesel or black diesel preventing it from entering your engine. It uses a special SuperAbsorbant Polymer crystal that won't absorb your oil but loves to drink the water. This Polymer will absorb up to 60 times its volume in water along with the impurities carried by water. This filter will not absorb vegetable oils, animal fats or petroleum oils. The cloth that contains the Superabsorbent Polymers is a mositure wicking fabric. It will pull the water and hold it until the polymer can absorb it. The filter is designed to fit through a standard drum opening and will then sink to the bottom. As the filter absorbs the water, it will swell up and retain the moisture in a gel form. It will not release the water into the oil. The included pictures show how this product works. The first picture shows a dry filter ready to use. It would be placed through the bung opening on your drum. The second picture is the same filter after it has absorbed almost a gallon of water! The following pictures show another example of the polymers at work. First is a sample of straight vegetable oil and a sample of black diesel, both with a small Polymer filter in the bottom. It will not absorb the oil. The next picture shows a large amount of water introduced to both samples. (a coin was used to keep the filter from floating to the top of the water level) The third picture shows the swollen filters removed from the now dry samples along with the water.

______________-

Omar and others,
This is a Cim-Tek product. Cim-Tek retail price is about $10 ea. What does that say about the Amazon price? It contains a patented starch applied to the underlying fabric.

Anybody using this product and care to comment?

THIS IS A SMALL BLOCK CHEVY OIL PUMP THAT WAS MODIFIED TO PUMP GREASE, USED MOTOR OIL, BIODIESEL OR JUST ABOUT ANY THICK FLUID. SOME GUYS USE THESE TO FEED A CENTIRFUGE. IT HAS 1/2 NPT FITTINGS ON THE INLET AND OUTLET. 3/4 HEATER CAN BE PUSHED OVER THE PIPE NIPPLES. BESURE TO USE REINFORCED HOSE ON THE SUCTION SIDE SO IT DOESN'T CRUSH. IT HAS A 1/2 SHAFT TO SPIN THE PUMP JUST CHUCK IT IN YOUR DRILL OR USE A COUPLER TO A MOTOR. THIS IS A POSITIVE DISPLACEMENT PUMP. IT WILL PUSH UNTIL YOUR MOTOR STALLS OR YOUR HOSE BLOWS. I USE A CORDLESS DEWALT DRILL AND PUMP ABOUT 20 GALS OF THICK GELLED UP COLD VEG ON ONE BATT. IT CAN BE USED FOR COLLECTION OR TRANSFER. IT CAN PUMP IN EITHER DIRECTION. IF YOU SUCK IN A CHUNK OF SOMETHING THAT STOPS THE PUMP, JUST REVERSE YOUR DRILL AND BLOW IT OUT THE WAY IT CAME IN. THEY DO WEEP OIL OUT OF THE INPUT SHAFT.THINNER FLUID WILL DO IT MORE THAN THICK FLUID. THERE IS NO SEAL ON THE SHAFT, JUST A TIGHT MACHINED FIT. THEY COME PACKED WITH WHEEL BEARING GREASE TO REDUCE IT, BUT IT'S NOTHING A QUICK WIPE FROM A PAPER TOWEL CANN'T FIX. THE FACTORY PORTS ARE PLUGGED AND PRESSURE BY-PASS DISABLED. THE 1/2 INCH PIPE FITTINGS ARE DRILLED AND TAPPED. NO JB WELD HERE. FLOW RATE DEPENDS ON HOW THICK YOUR OIL IS AND WHAT MOTOR YOU DRIVE THE PUMP. MY CORDLESS DRILL CAN A 5 GALLON FUEL JUG IN JUST LESS THAN ONE MINUTE. PLEASE CHECK MY BLOG FOR MORE INFO http://veggear.blogspot.com/ AND EMAIL WITH ANY QUESTIONS

Omar, I use these little temp switches in my setups. You can't beat the price and they come in all temp ranges. I JB weld them to the back of a FPHE and it's ready to go. Only problem is they are all Normally Closed so you need to use a relay to get them to switch something on once temp is reached.
