We have been running road tests on this aluminum bodied, 3-port WVO/SVO 12-volt fuel tank selector valve (also available in 24-volt) with easily-replaceable Viton seals. It has 12-mm ports with 1/2 inch NPT threads, a maximum operating temperature of 212° F, it is a bubble-tight valve (which means it is not going to leak like some of the other valves used for WVO) and it even has a small red light that tells you when you have switched to WVO! We have run this valve in VWs, Mercedes, and larger pickup trucks with good results.


Other details you may want to know:

Max operating pressure: 1 MPa (10 bar) = 145 psi

It will take two 3-port valves to replace one 6-port valve.

modified brass fittings for making a hose-in-hose (or more accurately, tube-in-hose) heat exchanger. These fittings seal well against the hoses-no need to double up hose clamps. There are no threaded fittings to leak except, unavoidably, the main compression nut. As long as this nut is not overtightened you will have a perfect seal. All parts are bubble tested to 50 psi. I will guarantee that no leaks occur at the soldered junction. They take paint well and look outstanding painted flat black.

You are buying the two fittings- enough to make 1 hose-in-hose any length you like. Picture two shows the simple construction and fluid flow. You will need to supply a length of 3/8 od tubing- aluminum works best and is available for less than $1/ft, but copper or polyethylene tubing will also work. You will also need a foot shorter length of 3/4 id heater hose, available at any auto store or tractor supply house (or less than $0.50/ft on ebay). Finally, four standard worm drive hose clamps complete the project.

This design uses 1" PEX tees and brass compression fittings. You may find these at larger hardware stores but will pay more for the fittings alone, and still have to custom lathe cut the 3/8 fittings to fit. I am able to offer this low opening price due to quantity purchases of the materials.

You can make a professional looking hose-in-hose for your WVO, SVO or beer brewing project for less than the cost to cobble one together from your hardware store. There's no reason a WVO conversion can't be functional and look good at the same time!

Damn right that's cheap! And these may be the only metric size plugs that will thread an American 1/8 pipe fitting so for alternative uses that's great stuff. They also fit several Ford models.

Muzak, Autolite GPs do not have a great reliability reputation. Anyway, their model 1110 is probably better suited to your application.
