I brought the YellowBeetle to AltWheels Festival last weekend in Boston. It was a great turnout, estimated at 25,000 over the weekend despite some rough weather. My car was chosen to represent the veggie cars in the alt fuel "wheel", in which different vehicles were chosen to represent the different fuel technologies. It was a great comparison, because of all the vehicles in the circle, only my car and the Prius were cars that you can drive around today.

Volkswagen of America was there with their new 2008 common rail diesel which will be legal in all 50 states. They were LOVING all the publicity they were getting, with two VWs in the circle. Of course, they certainly didn't endorse what I was doing, but they were loving the fact that VWs were getting so much attention. I drew the line when they were referring to diesel as an alt fuel. Nice try guys.

It was a fun weekend, and got to talk to a lot of people. It was nice to represent one of the few alt fuels actually available today.

Major NY newspaper is doing a story for xmas with a "green xmas" theme. One of the shots they are looking for is a green car that could be converted to run off of vegetable oil. The shoot will take place in NYC. They are looking for something vintage. Preferably 70s or 80s. They want to be authentic as possible, so they need a car that could be converted that is in green in color.
