I plan on converting a Dodge (2003 or higher year) to run on wast veg oil and would like to know who has a good system for doing so. I am aware of Veggie Powered Systems, Grease Car and Golden Fuel. Are there any others out there.

Thanks,
Jon

We're converting an '03 Dodge next week, and my former installer Shane Ballensky at Rover Hybrids has done two.

I went to that web site and it is almost impossible to read. Either the font is way to small (I have perfect vision) or it is so bunched together that it is impossible to read.

Weird. What browser are you using? Works great for me with Safari, Firefox, Netscape and IE.

Can others check and let me know?

Hi Jon.
We have done several HPCR cummins engines.. while we don't offer a kit we do sell the VO related components and we will give advise and part #'s for the stuff you will need from the auto parts store.. If you chose to assemble your own conversion the cost is usually less than $1000... we have a diagram on the install page of our site if you are interested..

If it was more fun everyone would be doing it!

HI There,

I am actually looking for a complete kit to make things easier for me. I plan on having them install it as well. One of the companies I have looked at is Golden Fuel Systems (formerly Greasel). They seem to have a very nice system and take as much time on the phone with me with all my questions. Any opinions on Golden Fuel??

I'm using Opera and I too have overlaping words on you website. Only the menu list on right side. Buttt.... I dont think it is my Opera but due to my chosing to use a larger font for easier reading. P-drive is one of the few that I have this issue with. Seems to be only a problem where lines wrap down.

PS! For what it is worth the few times I've popped over to your site I have found it very hard to navigate to a particular item of interest. Todyay's example: The Hybren. I was curious cause I had no clue what it was. Some kind of valve or processor, or biodiesel maker???? The catalog says see the product page for more info. Well it is not in the product page. It has its own page under seed press. I had no clue it was a seed press so I didnt look there at first.

Hi George, yup, if you change the default font size, it will screw up the way our 'site displays (and probably the way other 'sites display.) This could be Jon's problem too.

As far as the Hybren oil presses, they under "All Other Products" (and we're aware that one of the downsides to a 'site with as much content as ours is that it can be hard for people to navigate.)

Here's the "All Other Products" list from the right side of the home page:

All Other Products:
Vegtherm Electric Heat
Vormax Onboard Filter
Overnighter
Hotfox: In-tank Heater
Hotplate: Coolant/Fuel FPHE
Smartveg Controller
Aluminum Fuel Tanks
Pump/Wand/Funnel
6-port & 3-port fuel valves
Pad Heaters
Books
Oil Presses

Craig, I live in Chicago and am very interested in your single tank system you sell. It does say in the item description that it works only in moderate climates. Is there any way around this, like a heater for the one tank? Thanks much,

Hi Banjoman, If your Mercedes has a block heater, you could plug that in and be fine, even in the Freezy City in the winter. But you'd need to plug it in at work as well - or carry a small Honda or Yamaha generator.

TwoTank would be easier.

I don't think so...
You would not only have to keep the engine warm...you would have to keep the VO lines and tank liquid. Not imossible to do but probably as expensive and difficult as a decent 2 tank conversion. I live in MN and visit Chicago in the winter on occasion....so I KNOW how cold it gets and what will work in a cold climate.

Craig lives in Coastal California. I know it is hard to imiagine the special needs of a cold climate conversion if you don't actually have to LIVE in a cold climate.

At least we agree that a 2 tank conversion is best for Chicago climate conversions. Big Grin
