In less you get something really old (nice Caddy on e-bay this week FWD 4.3) or something that is converted to diesel. Range rover conversion go from $10k-$20Kplus for a converted vehicle. I saw a GEO metro conversion for $7000 yikes!
The VW is your only choice in America. If you like basic reliable transportation get a jetta. Or learn to collect and filter a lot faster. And drive a truck. I just sold an Isuzu P'up diesel for $4700 because is was in good shape and small. The mileage difference is huge. Between a Jetta and a truck. But you still have to filter. Robert In Fort Lauderdale running a 1985 Gold Mercedes 300d custom aluminum tank (18) gallons looped return with return to diesel tank. HOH wraped filter FPHE. Greasecar valves. |
