Hi

I am in Germany and use th good old waste oil from the local Chines Restaurants and others who do Wiener Schnitzel . It works great . I allways leave at tip for about two dollars for around 100 liters . I am gettting a milage of around 1 cent per km . I am using a centrifugal Spin with a Filtercloth made in Germany tha goes down to about 5 micron . It works great . Just filtered today around 500 liters .

Hello,

I use waste veggie oil here in California. Not as cold here as where you live. How is it working for you in the winters with the veggie oil?

What type of centrifigul filter are you using? We are always looking for stuff like that here. I am planning on using one soon to filter the oil before I put it in the tank!

Hey, the oil sample I have from the barrel behind the Japanese resteraunt here is really murky. Looks like it has a lot of stuff in it. How does your oil look before filtering?

Can you give us a link to a page describing this fantastic filter of yours?

Thanks.

Well ,
I us an old Laundryspin .
Your old Waschmashines will do it probably to .
I have sewen filterinserst made out of a cerain cloth that goes down to 5 microns .
Its a small spinner where I put the insert inside the drumm .
In the Winter it is darn cold and it will work to about 8 degrees below freezing point .
Anybody near Sacramento ?

some chines places have very fat stuff . but usually the fat settles down in the bottom and I only take the uper oil . some use very lean meat so They hardly have any fat in there drum.
you see the white fat .
Greetings , peter

Hi,

I wonder where you are. I'm from Cologne and many people around here do drive on vegoil as well. I'm using cold pressed oil and a friend of mine will be using wvo as soon as he's got his T3 ready.

What car are you using and how were your experiences with cold start and winter?

I'm using a Golf 2td and it's running fine. Only cold start is a problem and I will be using 12° nozzles instead soon. The originals have a spray angle of 0°. 12° gives you a much finer spray pattern and it so improves your combustion and cold start performances.
I'm interested to get to know more about your experiences.

Stephan
