For those of you who have seen some of our posts on a dual check valve system for electric fuel pumps, here is our latest creation. Our all aluminum system, with custom manifold and AN fittings ,is designed to bring two fuels together. Complete with gauges, this system can be used in almost any diesel application.
Here are some photos of our latest system. We incorporate two WVO Designs fuel pumps for full pressurized diesel and wvo/wmo fuel systems. We replace most stock diesel fuel systems with a updated spin on filter and WVO Designs fuel pump. The veg system is identical, except added coolant/electric heated filter, heat exchanger, heated tank, and insulated fuel lines. In the center of the picture is our new K.O.G Dual Fuel Manifold. This is an all aluminum billet drilled and tapped to bring two fuel systems together. This system uses all aluminum fittings for fuel and brass for coolant. The manifold is tapped for fuel temperature sensor and fuel pressure sensor. Optional gauges for in-cab display. The fuel system return uses a WVO Designs return valve that is wired with a delayed timer for purge. A single switch in the cab allows for quick change between fuels. Key on- diesel pump is on and working for great start ups, fuel pressure, power/ throttle response. Turn switch on- diesel pump turns off and the vegetable oil pump turns on. Fuel pressure/power/throttle is expected to remain the same and can be monitored from in cab gauge. The temperature gauge will begin to climb signifying hot veggie oil entering the engine. Having both pressure and temperature gauges in the cab, a quick diagnosis of system changes can be made while driving. Example: Colder oil will relate to low fuel pressure/power, low temperature reading. Good idling, and power is a result of hot oil and good pressure. Diesel pressure should be good but temperature reading should be low. Hot oil, with low fuel pressure usually results from a clogged filter however a pump failure would also read as low pressure. Temperature dropping after switching back to diesel signifies purge complete. With the pressure gauge installed on the pump one could compare pressure readings of both gauges to find a leak or restriction. The system is very user friendly and easy to maintain/diagnose issues. Filter changes are a breeze with easy priming. Any diesel engine can be converted using this system. Most older vehicles will greatly benefit from an updated diesel system and it doesn't cost much more while doing the veggie conversion. Another added benefit of running two WVO Designs pumps with quick connect aluminum fittings- if a pump were to fail, the other can be interchanged quickly getting you back on the road.

Custom bracket with return valve plumbed in after Driven Diesel adjustable pressure regulator. This bracket is designed to sit in the valley where OEM stock fuel filter bowl was located. OEM fuel bowl has been deleted, and new spin on filter relocated down on frame rail of truck. This is the only veggie parts we will have mounted in the engine compartment of the truck.
