Anyone know the ohms range for a stock Mercedes fuel sender? Mine is a 1985 190D.

Let me get this straight. The stock fuel sender does not do well with VO? This is the second downside to a one tank conversion, the first being not able to use it during the coldest parts of winter. So I'm now wondering if my aux tank sender and the stock sender are compatible so my dash fuel gauge will accurately read both tanks...but not at the same time.

I have a 2 tank system. I just use a stock sending unit in tank #2 (VO) so that the dash gage will read it. That's why I'd like to find a new sending unit that works in the 0-90 ohms range. Hopefully, Pat will find out something good from Isspro.

Consider using a capacitance level type sending unit ( no moving parts ). These are available from URL=http://www.centroidproducts.com]www.centroidproducts.com[/URL] / http://www.centroidproducts.com/tableofc.htm . Call them .
( BTW - An example of a capacitance level sending unit retrofit in a Dodge truck http://www.dieseltruckresource.com/dev/showthread.php?t...acitance+fuel+sender ) 1994 F250 IDI 7.3 NA E4OD |
