Hello,

I did cross post this in the biodiesel section as well but perhaps SVO folks are a little more familiar with the fill-rite pumps and meters.

I put together a little filling station: 55 gallon drum and a used fill-rite 12V 15 gpm pump with a fill-rite 800C flow meter attached. The problem is the meter is not accurate and after following the instructions in the manual about calibrating, its still nowhere near close. Like I can get it to pump four gallons, but the meter reads 5. Thats 20% inaccurate.

Does anyone have actual experience with these and know how to remedy the problem?

Thanks
Doug

Have you tried running some diesel through it and seeing if its more accurate? It could due to the extra viscosity of bio. Or maybe it could be calibrated for gasoline?

Yes I was right, I just downloaded the user manual for it from tuthill here:
http://www.tuthill.com/admin/D...er_Owners_Manual.pdf

It says it was calibrated using mineral spirits (very thin) and will need to be re-calibrated for other fluids. There is a calibration screw inside and that owners manual shows how to do it.
