I'm playing with the idea of mixing SVO with #2 home heating oil. I have a very old furance. I'm not sure whats going to happen I plan on having the mixture in a tank with an slow aggitator to keep it mixed and then go threw a heated line into the furance any thoughts? My goal is to not blow up my house.

There is more to it than that. Because of varying viscosities, and the need to run at stoichiometry converting a burner in a furnace or boiler to run on SVO or WVO is trickier than converting a diesel. It can be done relatively easily if you know what you are doing though. Check out the yahoo group altfuelfurnace. The culture on that group is that they will expect you to poke around the archives for a while and learn about stuff before asking questions. There is so much to know that people who walk in and simply ask how to convert a furnace are usually ignored.

Be careful though. The stakes are higher. A failed WVO-diesel attempt might cause you to get stranded, or destroy a car's engine. A failed WVO heating attempt can lead to worse stuff like a cold wife, an unhappy wife, unhappy neighbors if you are screwed up and smoking up the neighborhood, or a burnt down house.

Thanks for the advice. I will definetly look into it much more before doing any experiments.
