1 micron prefilter bags are ideal to filter waste vegetable oil. You can make several filter bags out of one tube ! Or you could make the mother of all wvo filters!!! We have a limited quanity of surplus Seamless Tube filter socks. Each one has a 5" hoop on one end... Anyway great price and like I said we have a limited quantity so order one or buy a box of 8 and stock up before they are gone!!
thanks Omar

turn them inside out... shake... scrape... and toss in the machine.

lately I've been washing the ten's once and putting them in place of a 25 then tossing when plugged.

Though your argument is very clever, I don't think it will lead to the results you desire. gandhi

It is interesting to see how everyone's methods are SO different, so I guess I will throw in my 2cents. First I let my oil settle for at least 2 months. I take the top 3/4's of the cubie and put it in a drum. From there it goes to the filter station. I use a 2M absolute filter from FSI Industries in the X-100 housing. I heat the oil in a cleaned H2O tank and using 15 psi, I drive the oil through. Comes out perfect. The filters are a bit more, 9.00$ or so, but I feel the difference in price is worth the security of good filtration. Nobody in the filter industry recommends cleaning any cloth filter because it is too easy to disturb the weave pattern and lose the micron rating. For me to take the time to clean a 9.00 filter is not worth it, especially when I get well over 200 gallons/ filter.

that's why I started cleaning it once and using it to replace a larger micron (upstream filter) then tossing it.
